2025 Volvo EX30 Powertrain
In terms of engine options, there will be two Volvo EX30 variants available, with purchasers able to select between maximum range or performance. Both variants come equipped with a 69 kWh battery. The standard model is RWD and comes with a single motor and a longer-lasting battery; it produces 268 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque, enough to propel the Volvo EX30 from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds.

An all-wheel drive is also an option, which involves the addition of another electric motor. Twin Motor Performance variants provide 422 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, reducing the benchmark sprint to 3.4 seconds. These specifications outperform those of the C40 and XC40 Recharge, both of which have 402 horsepower and take between 4.5 and 4.7 seconds to reach 60 mph. Volvo boasts that the Twin Motor Performance EX30 is the fastest-accelerating car they’ve ever produced.
Volvo EX 30 Battery Life
All versions of the EX30 include a 64.0 kWh battery pack, which Volvo says is large enough to enable driving of up to 275 kilometers per charge on rear-wheel drive models. The all-wheel-drive variant is estimated at 265 miles per charge, and both can be charged via a DC fast charging connection with a peak charging speed of 153 kW.
