On the bottom of the doors and center console, the cheaper, sharp-edged materials are still present even though the dashboard and upper door panels are covered in faux leather stitching. The buttons and switches have the same look and feel as General Motors’ more affordable portfolio products.

Space is excellent in the front seats and sufficient in the back. The Cadillac XT4’s cargo area is just as large as its passenger compartment. We were able to fit our six pieces of carry-on luggage behind the XT4’s rear seats, and with the seatbacks folded flat, we were able to fit 18 pieces of luggage—slightly more than smaller competitors like the Mini Cooper Countryman.

2025 Cadillac XT4 Engine

The 2025 Cadillac XT4 retains the 2.0L turbocharged engine, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission for a comprehensive driving experience. In terms of power, the engine produces 237 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 rpm. While the low-end torque will likely be useful around town for quick acceleration from stoplights to 30 MPH, the XT4’s 0-60 speed of 7.8 seconds, as stated by Car & Driver, is still not great on paper.

The ride was comfortable as the surface is generally flat, but uneven stretches of asphalt transmit a lot of vibrations and abrupt impacts into the interior, especially when equipped with the optional 20-inch wheels. The steering is also disappointing, as it is neither pleasant nor straight in its action.

Cadillac XT4 Fuel Efficiency

Despite its cylinders being deactivated to save fuel, the XT4 receives overall good EPA fuel economy, with front-wheel-drive variants getting 30 mpg on the interstate. Our all-wheel-drive test vehicle managed just 27 of its EPA-rated 29 mpg in real-world highway fuel economy testing.
